Come to the breathtaking Pacific coastline this summer for a six-day immersion into creative depth. Dana and Kay will combine their passions for sacred art-making and writing to inspire your heart and soul to new levels of creativity.
Together in circle, we will form community and share our stories. This gentle combination of writing and sacred art-making promotes healing and enlivens the flow of creative energy into all areas of life. No "expertise" is needed in either writing or art.
Our days together will begin each morning with dreamwork followed by circle and a focused writing time. Afternoons will offer various art-making techniques and open studio time for your creative explorations and projects. You may also use this time to explore the Monterey Penninsula, beachwalk at Asilomar, visit the shops and galleries of the seacoast village of Carmel, or tour the spectacular world famous 17-mile drive at Pebble Beach. We will also observe a day of silence to engage our souls' wisdom and to deepen our creative process.

Your accomodations will be at Asilomar Conference Grounds, http://www.VisitAsilomar.com. Asilomar means "refuge by the sea." It is nestled along the shoreline of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary on the central coast of California. Here your body and spirit will be nurtured by cozy shared rooms, optional full body massage, three delicious meals each day, and the beauty of the forest and the Pacific ocean.
 This retreat includes: Pilgrimage packet, all art materials (with the exception of personal touches you may want to bring to embellish your sacred art-making), five nights' lodging and all meals at Asilomar. You will provide your own ground transportation from either San Jose airport (1 hour 20 minute drive; participants may wish to rent cars together) or the Monterey Airport (15 minutes by cab). Maps and directions will be provided in your pilgrimage packet.
Total cost: $1400.00. Space is limited to 12 residential participants, with room for 6 "commuters" who live in the area or lodge off-site. Please register early, as we expect this retreat to fill quickly. A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 is required to hold your space. $600.00 due by May 15th. Final payment of $500.00 due by June 15th. "Commuters" may deduct $300 from the final payment. Cancellation Policy: Due to the advance planning and commitments necessary for this retreat there will be no refunds. In the event of participant's cancellation all monies collected before the time of cancellation will be held and applied toward a future Art and Language of Soul-Making Retreat.
